Seventy-seven? No way.

When I began writing this blog two years ago, my only objective was to provide myself an outlet to write whatever I felt like.  It was certainly not to provide a source of inspiration to people, but somehow, that’s what’s been happening.

But most of this inspiration hasn’t been coming from me.  It’s coming from YOU.  I regularly receive comments that make me think, laugh, cry, or some combination of the three.  This one made me cry.  It comes from Rae Parkhurst, from Oceanside, Ca., and was in response to my blog, “Crossfit and aging: The value is in the TRYING.”

“I am a 77-year-old female Crossfit addict. I started only four years ago and it has changed my life. Now I am part owner with my family of our own box.  I am worried about how I will get there when I can’t drive anymore.  Rae.”

Wow.  Even more WOW is how Rae looks at 77.  (She also sent me a picture of her driver’s license to prove she was 77.  I didn’t believe it.)

I’m not sure Rae even needs to drive.  She could probably do walking lunges or a medicine ball carry and beat the rest of us to the box!

Good luck to the Parkhurst family of Polarize Crossfit in Oceanside, Ca.
